 Creative/photographer/Videographer/Writer

I’m endlessly fascinated by capturing life in all its permutations, both in the real world or in the studio.

And regardless of where I am working and what I am photographing, my motivation is the same: create visually compelling images that make people want to stop, look, and learn something - whether it’s a man on a bull atop a tractor trailer, or an inanimate pony sitting alone on the ice or a studio portrait of a comedian.

I’m a graduate of Scripps School of Visual Communication at Ohio University.

My professional experiences include working as a newspaper photographer at The Herald of Randolph, Ohio University’s, The Post, The Sandusky Register, The Evansville Courier & Press, and The Peoria Journal Star.

Additionally, I was a freelance photographer and videographer for Fodors Travel Guide, covering hundreds of locations in five European cities.

Now, I live and work in Brooklyn, New York where I work and operate a commercial studio in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. You can find me photographing professional headshots, portraits, family portraits, still life, and video production.

I often collaborate with my colleague Tim Ireland of Ireland Studios + Motion LLC as Art Director, Line Producer and Assistant Camera. Together, we have shot campaigns for Canon, Google Small Business, Brother, Honest Tea, Mercedes Benz, Evan Williams and others.

Life is not a single genre of experience; nor is my photography. I’m a practitioner of photography-at-large and I’m just as comfortable documenting life at the border between Texas and Mexico as I am conceiving, lighting and shooting high-art inspired images of pickles.

At its essence, photography and videography are about visual problem solving.  Because of my diverse professional experiences, my passion for stories, my motivation to create compelling images, and my technical know-how, I am well-equipped to solve any visual problem thrown my way.
